When I found out that a coworker of mine was pregnant, I got so excited because I have been wanting a reason to make a baby quilt....particularly this one:
But then my coworker found out she was having a boy. So because I still wanted to make something and could not find any cute boy quilts, I settled on the McCall 6719 bear playmat:

I couldn't find any medium browns so I ended up making a dark brown bear and using polka dot fleece for contrast. I like the way it came out. Not too bad for my first truly crafty endeavor...
I hope my coworker likes it....even though she really wanted washcloths and diapers.
Since I recently found out that my cousin is pregnant with a girl, I'll get to make the quilt after all!
